Gambiaj.com – (GENK, Belgium) – Gambian international Alieu Fadera is on the verge of completing a significant move to Serie A newcomers Como, according to reports from Belgium. The 22-year-old winger, who will turn 23 in November, has reportedly agreed to a €6 million transfer deal that includes add-ons and a percentage of a future sell-on fee.
The transfer expert Sacha Tavolieri has revealed that the two clubs—KRC Genk and Como—have reached an agreement, with only personal terms left to finalize. Como is now in the process of negotiating these terms with Fadera and is expected to secure his signature on a five-year contract. The player is scheduled to arrive in Italy over the weekend to undergo medical tests and put the finishing touches on the transfer.
Fadera, who primarily operates on the left wing but is versatile enough to play in central attacking roles, joined KRC Genk from Zulte Waregem just a year ago for €4 million. During his time at Genk, he made 35 competitive appearances, contributing three goals and four assists.
Como’s promotion to Serie A comes after a strong campaign in Serie B last season, where they finished second under the guidance of coach Cesc Fabregas. Although Fabregas was only officially appointed as head manager this summer due to certification requirements, his leadership has been instrumental in the club’s recent success.
Fadera’s potential move to Como marks an exciting step in his career as he prepares to test his skills in one of Europe’s top leagues.
